4 DAYS BWINDI GORILLA SAFARI AND LAKE BUNYONYI - 4 Days

After breakfast at your lodge in Kampala, you will leave and drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is found in Kabale region commonly referred to as the Switzerland of Africa. En route you will have a stopover at the Equator for photographs and water experience to prove that you are areas between the Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
You will again stop in Mbarara town for lunch after which you will continue to Lake
Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Uganda and situated close to the borders of Uganda and Rwanda. On a bright day you might see the magnificent volcano of Mount Muhavura. You will then drive to check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will set out for the hired canoe and travel around the surroundings from the water surface as you search for different bird species on the 37 Islands of the Lake. Later return to the hotel for lunch and in the afternoon, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is one of the world’s Heritage sites and famously known as a home of the gorilla.

Early morning after breakfast, you will leave the hotel with your packed lunch ready for the ranger guide briefing and thereafter move into the forest in search for gorillas. Bwindi Rain forest is so spectacular and it offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape which is incredibly dense, crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists to see the Gorillas.
Besides Mountain Gorillas, other mammals in the forest include the rare golden monkey, buffaloes, elephants, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and a lot of bird species. The experience got from seeing the Gorillas is so exciting and unforgettable. Return back to your lodge for refreshments. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. You can either drop off at a hotel in Kampala for an overnight and dinner or connect to the airport for your onward flight.
Note; This itinerary can be revised to enable you track gorillas first and then Lake Bunyonyi last.
